Valley Local School District is located in rural south-central Ohio. The schools serve the populations of Valley and Jefferson Townships with an average annual enrollment of approximately 1100 students. The main communities in the District are Lucasville and Clarktown. These towns are located approximately 10 miles north of Portsmouth, Ohio. The main employers in the community are the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility and United States Enrichment Corporation.
Valley Local School District has three schools: Valley Elementary School (K-4), Valley Middle School (5-8) and Valley High School (9-12). Valley students may choose to attend the SciotoCounty Joint Vocational School during the junior and senior years.
